Don Juan in Soho

“Please don’t be charmed, he’s not a lovable rogue...” Loosely based on Molière’s tragicomedy 'Don Juan', this savagely funny and filthy modern update transports the action to contemporary London and follows the final adventures of its debauched protagonist – a cruel seducer who lives only for pleasure.
David Tennant, who plays the title role in Patrick Marber’s Don Juan in Soho, will be joined by Adrian Scarborough as Stan and Gawn Grainger as Louis. The production will preview at Wyndham’s Theatre from 17 March 2017, with press night on 28 March 2017. Don Juan in Soho will complete its strictly limited eleven week run on 10 June 2017.
Direction is by Patrick Marber with set and costume designs by Anna Fleischle, lighting by Mark Henderson and sound and music by Adam Cork. Final casting will be announced at a later date.

die moderne Inszenierung vom Thema Don Juan lässt kein Auge trocken. den Schauspielern merkt ihren Spaß am Spiel an. allen voran der bekannte Darsteller David Tennant. sein DJ (Don Juan) kostet sein Leben in vollen Zügen aus. Es braucht in einer Szene z.B. nicht viel Phantasie was die Frau zwischen DJs Beinen unter der Decke macht, während er bereits die nächste "klarmacht". aber obwohl man als Frau natürlich nicht das Verhalten gutheißen darf, ist Tennant´s DJ so charmant, dass man sich eingestehen muss, dass man wohl selber drauf reingefallen wäre

Es war am 22.April 2017 eine fantastische Aufführung im Wyndham´s Theatre. David Tennant und die gesamte Cast haben den Abend in ein unvergessenes Ereignis gewandelt. Eine gelungene Adaptation des Stückes von Moliere durch Patric Marber, in einem wunderschönen englischen Theater aufgeführt.
